What we ask

Painter categories: surface preparers, stripecoat painters, topcoat painters, spray painters.

General responsibilities of the naval painter:

• Preparation of surfaces before painting: cleaning, degreasing, turbine.
• Application of anti-corrosion protection systems on metal structures, ship hulls, tanks and internal compartments.
• Use of painting equipment: airless gun, brushes, rollers, pumps and spraying equipment.
• Correct mixing of materials (paints, primers, hardeners) according to technical data sheets (TDS).
• Checking adhesion, film thickness and uniformity of painting using specific instruments (e.g. thickness gauge).
• Compliance with optimal application conditions: temperature, humidity, ventilation.
• Identification and correction of defects such as orange peel, bubbles, leaks, exfoliation.
• Maintenance and cleaning of equipment after use.
• Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of chemicals.
• Reporting technical problems or deviations from specifications to superiors.

What we need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the naval field
• Conversational English – MANDATORY!
• B category driving license – represents an advantage
• Holder and holder of a euro account – MANDATORY!
