What we ask

As a Milling Operator, you will have varied and precise work. You will play a key role in our mission to produce offshore wind turbine foundations, directly contributing to the energy transition. Sif is one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 1,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines. As part of our close-knit and dedicated team, you have the chance to make a real difference. You will work with milling machines specially designed for Sif. You are responsible for processing huge slabs, approximately 42 tons and 27 meters long. You will enter programs into the automatic milling machine to perform the initial processing of the slabs. Because we work with special equipment, you will always benefit from a training program. You will be part of a diverse team, made up of people of different nationalities, in a modern production hall. You will work closely with other operators, maintenance technicians and quality inspectors.

As a Plate Rolling Operator, you play a key role in rolling and welding metal plates with lengths between 8 and 11 meters and thicknesses up to 110 mm, to form metal cylinders. You will contribute to both series production and one-off pieces, each with specific dimensions.Sif is one of the largest manufacturers of steel tubes (up to 2,000 tons) for offshore wind turbines. Within our close-knit and dedicated team, you have the opportunity to make a difference. As a Plate Rolling Operator, you actively participate in the entire production process. In the preparation phase, you receive technical drawings and instructions. You work with great precision to achieve perfectly circular or conical shapes. In the rolling and welding phase, you set the parameters of the rolling machine according to the instructions. Precision is essential, and the tolerances are very small. There is no other place in the Netherlands where materials of such size and accuracy are worked on – and we give you the chance to learn. The huge monopiles produced by Sif for offshore wind farms withstand the harshest weather conditions – partly due to your careful and professional work.

What we need

• Experience in this field is not necessary, full on-the-job training is provided!
• Minimum one year experience in a technical field and/or in the metal industry
• Availability to relocate to the Netherlands long-term
• Availability to work in 3 shifts
• Knowledge of reading technical drawings
• Advanced knowledge of English Category B driving license
• Seriousness, responsibility and ability to work in a team
